The Annual Assembly of the Montenegrin Foreign Investors’ Council was held today in Podgorica. The most important topics on the agenda were the election of the MFIC President and the MFIC BoD members, as well as approval of the amended MFIC Statute.
Mr Christoph Schön (Addiko banka) was elected the MFIC BoD President, while Ms Nela Belević (UNIQA osiguranje), Mr Savo Đurović (Adriatic Marinas), Mr Rashad Rasullu (Azmont Investments) and Mr Giulio Moreno (EBRD) were elected MFIC BoD members. As of 1 December, the MFIC will have a Executive Director and Ms Marija Šuković has been appointed to this position.
The MFIC now number 35 members, providing around 8,300 local jobs and having an annual turnover which accounts for around 29% of estimated Montenegrin GDP.
The meeting was concluded with the intention to further intensify all the current activities targeted at improvement of the Montenegrin business environment, as well as at attracting new members. Next year will be quite dynamic and will bring many activities and events planned by the MFIC.
