After completing the course, 27 high school students will have basic programming knowledge that will allow them further orientation and studying of this area. Within this initiative, NLB Bank and Logate are striving to strengthen the capacities of local communities and strongly support the development of ever-more-needed IT skills that are crucial among youth.

“As a company that has been intensively contributing to the education of IT personnel in Montenegro through its Academy in the last three years, we consider this project a natural next step in the effort to spread IT knowledge throughout Montenegro. Considering that we have only been oriented to Podgorica so far, in this way we wanted to open the door to other municipalities and provide an opportunity for young people, to explore this exciting field, with hope that there will be our future colleagues among them.” said from Logate.

“The financial industry as a whole is very fast shifting into a new age of digital business and life. The challenge for all market participants is to invest enough in new technology and knowledge. At NLB, we are oriented on digitalisation of services and a better user experience. In order to achieve this strategic goal, we must invest in a new level of technology and education with the support of young people interested in this field. Therefore, we are particularly pleased to be able to support the realization of such a project, which came from young people who are interested in an increasingly demanding occupation. We believe that this will be a significant step towards their future professional development and we wish them much success,” said Dino Redžepagić, Executive Director of NLB Bank in charge of sales, information technology and innovation.

NLB Bank and Logate will continue to promote financial and e-literacy activities and e-skills among children and youth as one of the priorities in the corporate social responsibility of these companies.
