Executive Director

The Executive Director shall be responsible for organization of daily activities of the Council, its bodies and documentation.

Arijana Nikolić Vučinić was born and raised in Podgorica. She graduated and obtained a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica. From 2006 to 2013, she served as Coordinator of the Department for Regional Trade Cooperation at the Ministry of Economy. After that, she was appointed Director General of the Directorate for Labor Market and Employment at the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare. During the same period, she was the chief negotiator for Chapters 2 (Free Movement of Workers) and 19 (Social Policy and Employment) as part of Montenegro’s accession negotiations with the European Union.

She has served as the Director General of the Directorate for Preschool, Primary, and Inclusive Education at the Ministry of Education. Additionally, she holds the role of National Coordinator for the international computer school for children and youth, “Coding Giants,” overseeing its educational programs on a global scale.

 
Term and Election: The Executive Director is elected for a tenure of three (3) years, during which they spearhead crucial initiatives to advance the Council’s mission.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. representation of the Council in accordance with Article 34 of this Articles of Association;
  2. implementation of the strategies and policies of the Council and assistance to the Board of Directors in creating new strategies, as well as assistance to the President of the Board of Directors in execution of the Council’s decisions;
  3. work on the preparation of the White Book and other documents, organization of conferences and round tables
  4. maintenance of contact with all relevant stakeholders;
  5. management of all administrative functions of the Council including contract compliance, preparation and monitoring of annual budget, keeping the registry of members of the Council, minutes keeping, defining the content of website;
  6. presenting of the precise annual reports on the accounts at each regular annual session of the Assembly, which shall include balance sheet and reports on income and expenditures from the last of the previous reports;
  7. preparation of the Assembly’s and Board of Directors sessions;
  8. informing the competent state agency of entering the Council into the registry on each change of the facts entered in the registry, within 30 days from the day when the change occurred.


Term of Office: The term of office for the Executive Director is three (3) years and can be reelected without limitation of the number of terms of office.
