The Montenegrin Foreign Investors Council (MFIC) has established a Legal Affairs Committee, which will focus on improving the regulatory framework to create a more predictable and attractive business environment in the country. Ana Ivanović, an attorney cooperating with the law firm Moravčević, Vojnović & Partners in cooperation with Schoenherr, has been appointed as the Committee’s Chair.

With the formation of this Committee, the Council further strengthens its role in identifying and eliminating business barriers, which not only affect foreign investors but also impact the overall economic dynamics of the country. Additionally, through cooperation with decision-makers, the Committee will work towards creating a more efficient legal framework, thereby enhancing Montenegro’s investment reputation.

Regarding her appointment, Ana Ivanović stated: “It is a great honor for me to work alongside the members of the Committee on improving the regulatory framework. This topic is particularly relevant at a time when the European integration process, as well as broader challenges, further emphasize the importance of legal certainty. I will strive to leverage the experience I have gained through my work with Moravčević, Vojnović & Partners in cooperation with Schoenherr, handling key investment projects in Montenegro and across Europe, to propose concrete solutions to existing challenges.”

The Montenegrin Foreign Investors Council is the only business association in Montenegro that exclusively brings together foreign investors. Its members generate approximately 23% of the country’s GDP and are among the largest employers, playing a significant role in Montenegro’s economic development. In addition to the newly established Legal Affairs Committee, the Council also operates committees dedicated to IT, economic and infrastructure development, human capital and talent, the rule of law, tax policy, and the transition to a green economy.
