Marija Šuković

MarijaSukovicMarija Šuković was born in Podgorica, Montenegro. In 2004 she graduated with highest honours from the American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik (a division of the Rochester Institute of Technology).

She started her professional career in the public sector and spent 13 years in various positions, such as Advisor to the Deputy Minister for International Economic Relations in the Ministry of the Economy, Head of the Unit of Multilateral Cooperation and Coordination with International Institutions in the Ministry for Sustainable Development and Tourism, Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister for EU Integration, and Adviser to the Prime Minister and Head of the Bureau for Relations between Prime Minister and Private Citizens.

She has been involved in some of the most important processes in the country, such as the independence process, EU and NATO integration, and during all that time, she has been dealing with the improvement of the business environment, elimination of business barriers, both for domestic and foreign investors, as well as promoting Montenegro as a foreign investment destination. From 2012 to 2016, she was a member of the Government Council for Improvement of the Business Environment, Regulatory and Structural Reforms.

Marija Šuković was appointed Executive Director of Montenegrin Foreign Investors’ Council in December 2016.
